Qualifications:
Applicants for this position should first have a positive attitude and find joy in working with small children. Applicants must have or be willing to obtain a food handlers permit. Experience in commercial or school food services is preferred. All potential employees must pass a background check.
Job Description and Function:
The successful applicant will be expected to prepare and serve meals, clean food services areas, manage commercial kitchen equipment, complete other duties as assigned by the principal, and any other job duties listed in district policy #1149. This position will manage meal planning and meal reporting requirements. This position requires standing for long hours and may include lifting food packages up to 50 pounds.
Compensation:
This position is paid at an hourly rate determined by Lane 2 and Level 10 of the school district salary schedule. This rate is expected to be $20.06/hour for the 2024-2025 school year. There may be additional salary and benefit considerations for higher education or more experience working in food services. This position is expected to work an estimated 28 hours each week. Weekly hours may be modified by the principal. This position qualifies for paid leave and retirement benefits.
