Qualifications:
Applicants for this position should first have a positive attitude and find joy in working with students and educators. Familiarity with technology support systems preferred. Applicants should be able to learn new technology applications quickly, interact professionally through a variety of electronic communication platforms, provide quality customer service, and demonstrate basic computer troubleshooting. Desirable skills include computer hardware, device networking, cyber security, database management, cloud services, automation, web development, and device management. Degrees, certificates, experience, and training related to technology support will be considered.
Job Description and Function:
The successful applicant will serve on the Utah Peak Academy team. This position will serve all technology support needs for the school. This position will also help provide technology support for the other schools in Piute County School District. This position will report directly to the superintendent and perform other duties as assigned. The technology specialist will be expected to support all of the essential functions of the Technology Director found in policy #1134.
Compensation:
This position is paid a negotiated salary based on years of experience and education. The expected salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000. This position includes a standard family health insurance package with 100% of the premium paid by the school district. This position includes Utah Retirement Systems benefits and paid leave time as explained in district policies #2047 & #3047.
