Full-Time Bus Driver/Maintenance/Custodian
Circleville Elementary School ~ Starting January 2026
Qualifications:
Applicants should first enjoy working with and around children. All potential employees must pass a background check. Applicants will be expected to complete training for a license to drive a school bus. Applicants are expected to have all basic skills generally expected for maintenance and custodial work. Preference may be given for applicants with valuable specialty skills, certifications, and licenses in related trades.
Job Description and Function:
This position will first ensure the safety of students and staff at Circleville Elementary School by conducting regular and preventative maintenance. This position will be responsible for cleaning Circleville Elementary School. This position will maintain school grounds and work with contractors in completing any work on the building or grounds that cannot be completed by school staff. This position may also include special maintenance or small construction projects based on the skills of the successful applicant. This position will include all duties listed in the general custodial job description in district policy #1143. This position will be expected to drive a school bus for various bus routes for Circleville Elementary School. Bus driver duties are listed more specifically in district policy #1141.
Compensation:
This position is paid an annual salary based on Level 19 of Lane 2 of the school district salary schedule. The expected starting hourly rate is $24.85 for an annual salary of $51,688. This position is a contracted position for 10 hours per day and 208 days per year. Days and hours may be modified by the school district. This position qualifies for paid leave, retirement, and health insurance benefits as outlined in district policies #2047, #3047, #2041, and #2053.
