Qualifications:
Applicants for this position should first have a positive attitude and find joy in working with small children. Applicants must have or be willing to obtain a food handlers permit. Experience in commercial or school food services is preferred. All potential employees must pass a background check.
Job Description and Function:
The successful applicant will be expected to prepare and serve meals, clean food services facilities and equipment, and operate commercial kitchen equipment, complete other duties as assigned by the principal, and any other job duties listed in district policy #1149. This position requires standing for long hours and may include lifting food packages up to 50 pounds.
Compensation:
This position is paid at an hourly rate determined by Lane 2 and Level 4 of the school district salary schedule. This rate is expected to be $20.80/hour for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is expected to work an estimated 20 hours each week. Weekly hours may be modified by the principal. After the completion of one successful school year this position will qualify for leave and retirement benefits.
